How do I handle collecting donations from my customers?

Patrons will either write the amount that they want to contribute on a Customer Donation Card and return it to the wait staff or verbally relay the amount. The amount should then be added to the patron’s final bill. Diners can also donate via credit card at tapproject.org or text the word “TAP” to 864344 (“UNICEF”) to donate $5 on their mobile phone.

As you determine how to collect and track patron donations, we recommend—if possible—that you integrate Tap Project donations into your POS system for World Water Week.
